The future’s coming faster than you think. And those of us in this industry that are stuck with some old ways of thinking are bound to get left behind.

I’m amazed at all the people I encounter who don’t want to evolve their business. They’re like the people who kept buying CDs when the iPods came out. Move with the times!

 1) Geography Doesn’t Matter

The internet has made borders a non-issue. You can do business now with anyone around the world at any time.

But some people still think that doing online courses, for example, isn’t “real” training. They must like working more hours for less money.

But relying on brick and mortar revenue is no way to make money. Too many factors can mess you up.

Stick to the future and go online. The world, and its money, will open up to you. Geography just doesn’t matter anymore.

 2) Leave the Sea of Sameness

Take a look around. Everyone has a gym. Everyone has a boot camp. With so much of the same old same old being offered, isn’t it time to leave that sea of sameness?

Having too much of the same thing means you’ll have to drop the only thing that will keep you competitive: price. That’s a race to the bottom. No thanks.

See, we’re not providers to the general market. Being different is what will make you real money.

Niche markets is where it’s at. Niche used to be a bad word. But the fact is, niche doesn’t eliminate potential customers, it attracts the right customers.

Get out of that sea of sameness and offer the programs you want. Get out now.

 3) Give some value in advance

Building trust and authority at first is a big part of big sales down the line. And the best and simplest way is to make content.

Don’t know how? Use your phone. There’s a camera in there. Pick a topic and talk for a while about it. Presto, instant content!

But how to decide what to offer your niche market?

Put yourself in their shoes and solve a problem.

What are their wants? What do they need? What’s not out there already?

There’s tons of stuff you can be doing. Creating content like this is a way to let your tribe know that you’ve about and value them. That simple act of providing value to them will build a bridge to income you won’t believe.

Forget about brick and mortar stores. That’s the past. The future and your tribes are all online.

The future is all about getting control of your business. Meet it head-on.
